Discussion:  Laura and Mendy have personal experience with drug addiction on the part of close relations.  They have established a social media presence called:  Berkeley County Heroin Epidemic and Awareness (Facebook page).  The discussion centers on the purpose of the social media site and the need for rehabilitation facilities and counseling in Berkeley County as well as the need for preventive measures to keep young people from falling into the addiction trap.

Discussion:  We discussed the structure, purpose and function of the Jefferson County Teen Court.  Teen participants discussed their experiences as defendants, attorneys, judge and jury for the Teen Court.  They described the operation of the court, the types of cases handled, how they felt about the court and how participation had affected them.
